Budweiser Announces Beer Flavored Water

Not really but something similar. On February 1, Anheuser-Busch launched the end of beer as we know it, Budweiser Select 55, as in 55 calories. Compare that with a Yuengling Light at 99 and a Miller Lite at 96 and you’re saving yourself a few beer can curls. The press release describes it as an “American-style lighter light lager.” Really? You still managed to call it beer but you couldn’t figure out the other wording like ‘American-style’ and ‘lighter light lager?’ I’ll see if I can pick some up this weekend to try it but my hopes are already in the toilet. This is a beer for people who say they drink beer but are way too concerned about their body to drink beer (or drink at all).
